Typhoon naming
Since 2000, the World Meteorological Organization has stipulated that when a tropical cyclone occurring in the northwest Pacific or the South China Sea reaches tropical storm intensity, the Japan Meteorological Agency will be responsible for the classification based on the "Typhoon Nomenclature" provided by the 14 member countries or regions of the Typhoon Committee. It is numbered and named.
