What is romance? Can I eat it?
If your romance is based on remembering various holidays, arranging activities, and giving gifts, then I probably am not a person who understands the public definition of "romance".
For me, romance lies in the little details of everyday life.
Let’s not talk about how you treat people and deal with things. After all, this requires the person involved to be careful to notice it.
Today, let’s talk about some of my own daily interests - perhaps insignificant, but to me, they are unique and insightful.
As you all know, I've always had a business, and a business always has a phone number.
When I was in Taipei, the company address was "No. 2, Lane 415", so the last digit of the phone number at that time was "4152". In other words, knowing the address can guess the phone number, and knowing the phone number can also guess the address.
Later, we moved to Yilan. The company was no longer located at a house number in an alley, but "No. 27", so the last digit of the phone number was chosen to be "5227".
I applied for this number when I first moved here. I waited a very long time before I laid the groundwork a while ago, and it took another while before it was installed.
Generally speaking, when opening a company’s phone number, people will choose auspicious numbers, such as 7777, 8888, 1688, etc.
But these numbers are actually very troublesome because they are the most likely to receive all kinds of strange calls.
I applied for a consecutive number before, but it turned out that the number was the old number of my previous company's fax machine.
Someone sends faxes every day. When I pick up the phone, all I hear is the "chi chi chi" sound of the fax machine, which is extremely annoying.
So later, my criteria for selecting phone numbers changed.
I hope it can be exclusive to me, so that people who understand it can see the fun in it at a glance, instead of becoming a victim of all kinds of unnecessary calls.
When it comes to phone numbers, few modern Taiwanese people can remember each other's mobile phone numbers.
If you don’t believe it, you can ask your friends who you have known for more than five or six years to see how many of them still remember your mobile phone number.
But my cell phone number is really interesting, and I probably won’t change it in my lifetime.
The first two digits of a Taiwanese mobile phone number are fixed to be 09, and the following eight digits are my date of birth in the Western calendar.
Such a number is very interesting to me, because as long as you ask for my mobile phone number, I will tell you my birthday at the same time.
So, don’t forget to write a small card and send your blessings on that day!
