Building Blocks

boring night
bright moonlight
twinkling stars
Touching a moving heart

towering old pine
Yesterday's tears
cold palms
Weaving a familiar web

Since I left
The past is fleeting and emerges from time to time
Memories are always easy to get used to after leaving

flickering candlelight
swaying longing
Thinking of her countless times

My stomach growled again, waking up the annoying empty night.
The tip of my nose once again traces back to the smell of food that I have known for a long time.
Poor me who lives in a foreign land
I unconsciously thought of my hometown again

Relatives and friends whom I haven’t seen for a long time
as time goes by
The building blocks of longing are piled up one more layer
