I don't know when it started, but the quality of plumbers and electricians is so uneven that every time I let others do it, it's better for me to do it myself, which is faster and more beautiful.
Since we just moved into our home in Yilan, we found that there was water leakage between the electric water heater and the water was dripping through the ceiling. When we told the previous owner about it, she vehemently denied the problems at first and kept dragging it out for a very long time. Only after I directly said that I would sue her if she didn't deal with it, did she find a plumber to fix it.
Not to mention the ground that was dripping through, the cold water pipe outlet was connected in a strange way. Because the source was a PVC pipe, but the joint was a copper pipe, the connection was too long, making it top-heavy, and it was left hanging in the air without any support, resulting in constant water seepage.

He came three or four times to make adjustments, and was still talking about how he used ancient techniques and how he had even wrapped the joints with cotton gloves, so how was it possible that water was still leaking and so on.
Just when I was getting annoyed of having to keep opening the door and waiting for them to come back to repair it, I told them to just put a bucket to catch the leaking water and let them leave it that way for now!
Then, because the original water heater was leaking, I had to replace it with a new one to solve the backflow problem. A while ago, the plumber connected an overly heavy cold water outlet in series, which caused the PVC pipe to deform and bend due to overheating. Instead of asking them to deal with it, it would be faster for me to reconnect it myself.

I've always felt that their connection method is very strange. In addition to being top-heavy, the most important thing is that if you need to repair the water heater one day, you must turn off the main water switch.
I directly fine-tuned the connection method to parallel connection, shortened the area where the cold water outlet was suspended, and tried to leave enough space for the high-pressure pipe, holding the water outlet for balance, rather than constantly forcing the water pipe to fall down. When the hot water accidentally flows back, it will not be deformed due to the increased weight due to the high temperature, causing possible bursting of the water pipe in the future.
Of course the best way would be to give them all somewhere to lean on, but that would require reconnecting the PVC pipe, which would be a bit too much trouble. At least now I don't have to hang that annoying bucket above the pipe, for fear of water dripping onto the ground.

The number of water heaters can be increased
Although most of the early plumbers and electricians were of grassroots culture and inherited the traditional steel-making method, working in such a technical industry still requires using one's brain.
If you always do things in such a rough way, in the eyes of the owners who understand, they will usually only look for it once, and there will be no second chance.
They may also do this recklessly with the mentality that it will break down sooner, so they may have a second chance and come to your home to repair it.

Every time I hand over the water and electricity project to others, when I hear them talking nonsense, I always think that it would be faster for me to do it myself. Am I really destined to be a hard-working person?
